3Ds Max Tutorials – Water Effect ( Ripple+mental ray)
In this lesson we will learn how to make water effect using (ripple modifier + mental ray renderer )
1-First assign the renderer to mental ray (to apply more reality to the scene )
2-next make a plane with high segments like 50 segments in (length and width)
3-apply the ripple modifier to the plane to make waves like water waves
4-then make a text and apply extrude modifier
5-create omni light
6-press M (from the keyboard) to assign material to it (for water and text)
7-Press F9 To quick render and see the final effect
8-to make the output (rendered ) more reality apply the following changes but it will make the final render time more
