Turn Off the Noise and Start Creating
Let’s speak about current situations. There’s a many things going on in the news right now. The 99% (aka Occupy Wall Street) movement. A backlash against big corporations, government bailouts, politicians who seek to change situations and then don’t do anything, and a lack of work opportunities in our country.
Listen to the protests, and you will be instantly shocked. It appears every body has a side; a story to tell. Now, you have to make choices. Are you a “liberal” or a “conservative”? A 99%er, a 53%er, or a 1%er? (No one will own up to the latter.)
I’m here to inform you: Not only does this stuff are not important, but it’s a distraction appears on your way turn you from changing the world.
In the hurry to can ourselves and prove that we are “un like” (or the same as!) others, we’ve forgotten one thing: We all exist here together. And if there are issues with this world–our universe–then it’s up to us to go out and work on them.
Oh yes, there were things the government did mistaken in. And big organizations. I’m not saying to remove it–I’m saying stop getting trapped up in it.
What would happen if, rather than engaging in a arguing where no one’s mind changed and enemy defenses get ready between your friends and you, you simply opted out?
What if, rather than watching TV and becoming furious about those stupid liberals or those boring conservatives, you spent an hour working on your project?
Jobs
Let’s speak about the shortage of jobs–since that seems to be a important point. There are 50,000 monthly readers of this blog. What if half of you thought well out and said, “Today I will make a difference in the world by giving a work opportunity someone who needs money.” And then you went out and empolyed someone to mow your lawn. Once. Or clean your house. Just once!
“But Erica, I don’t have enough money to do so.” Then I will say you start by stoping your cable TV subscription and selling your TV. That will bring you the money to hire someone. And it’s a much better than a handout.
Together, just from you and those reading this post, we could provide 25,000 jobs. certainly, they’d be part time jobs. But rather than taking your money and giving it to a big corporation like a cable corporation, you’d be handing it to a real, live person–your neighbor, or somebody who lives in your area. And that person would be eternally grateful for a hand up, instead of a handout.
And who knows how many of those work opportunities will show around? Hey, it’d be good to have a few extra hours weekly to work on your business. So bring a babysitter for the children and do it. Hire a house cleaner. Do you understand how pleased your babysitter or house cleaner will be for that opportunity? Marilyn, our housekeeper, stared at me recently with almost-tears in her eyes, and told Brian and I that she loved us. That she was so pleased to be rescued from a terrible desk job where she had a boss who constantly screaming at her.
You and I…we’re better bosses than those. We’re the entrepreneurs. We’re the job providers. And if there are no jobs, we’re those who need to step up and make those jobs occurs.
So skip the news. forgot people posting protest images on Facebook. Instead of getting stucked in to endless drama, and arguing back and forth, go out there and find out how to provide a job instead. Get that fire in your belly. You deserve the best. You need to learn how to begin that business, not only for you, but for your family and your society.
The world is depending on you. And right now, we count on you. We need your help to make America what we wish it to be. We need your help to decrease the unemployment percentage, to help good, deserving people has jobs, and to make this world a better place.
